Kasey Gillespie, DDS Dentist in Silverdale, WA
Dr. Kasey Gillespie received his bachelor of science in mechanical engineering from Brigham Young University and his doctor of dental surgery from the University of Oklahoma. While studying dentistry, he participated in research in craniofacial development and presented at various events, including the American Association for Dental Research annual meeting in Los Angeles. While in school, dentistry became his passion as he connected with his patients and helped them feel comfortable in his chair. Upon graduation, he was inducted into Omicron Kappa Upsilon, the national dental honor society.
Born and raised in Silverdale, WA, Dr. Gillespie loves the great Northwest for its natural beauty and friendly people. Prior to enrolling in dental school, Dr. Gillespie returned to his hometown for a year as he accepted a job at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard, where he worked as an engineer in the testing and planning division.
As a young man, he participated actively in the Boy Scouts of America and earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He also participates in his church, for which he served a two-year mission in Brazil, and he learned to speak fluent Portuguese.
Throughout dental school, he volunteered annually at the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy and free dental clinics around the state to help those who could not afford their needed dental care.
In his spare time, Dr. Gillespie enjoys spending time with his family. While attending school in Utah, he met his wife, Miranda, a native of Middleton, Idaho. They now have three active young boys. The family enjoys roughhousing, creating, camping and spending time in the outdoors together. Dr. Gillespie also is an accomplished pianist, with preference to the classical genre. The Gillespie’s love living in Kitsap County and feel honored to serve a great community. |
