Composite Dental Bonding
Silverdale, WA

Composite Dental Bonding provided by in Silverdale, WA at

The motivation behind the practice of dental bonding is to fix chips, cracks, and stains on teeth. It is common for teeth to lose their pure state as time goes on.

In some situations, we may use dental bonding to fill cavities. Many people will need teeth bonding at some point in their lives.

Teeth bonding is a common, painless procedure that can help improve both the appearance and function of your teeth.

At Life Long Dental, we have the skill and expertise to help you restore your beautiful smile through the aid of dental bonding.

Examples of Dental Bonding

Dental bonding is an efficient and aesthetic solution to fixing many teeth issues. For example, tooth bonding may be used as an alternative to orthodontic work in fixing gaps between teeth.

Teeth bonding can also be a more natural-looking option than a silver filling in cavities. For these reasons, many people opt for teeth bonding to fix their tooth issues.

While tooth bonding is perfect for minor tooth imperfections, it is not as strong or unbreakable as a dental veneer. Some dentists may attempt to cut corners by using teeth bonding on a job that requires dental veneers.

However, because veneers require us to shave off much of your tooth, veneers should only be used in specific drastic situations. For some patients, it is not prudent to invest in dental veneers unless teeth bonding absolutely cannot fix your dental issues.

Benefits of Dental Bonding

Teeth bonding is super popular because of its many conveniences. It is a very comfortable procedure and does not even require anesthesia.

Teeth bonding is also very affordable and may be covered by insurance, depending on the issue. While tooth bonding is not quite as durable as veneers or crowns, it is a long-lasting solution, and not every patient will need theirs replaced.

Process of Dental Bonding

What exactly happens in the teeth bonding process? The procedure is very straightforward and requires little preparation. Most patients are comfortable without anesthesia, but you may consult with us if you prefer anesthesia for your procedure.

First, we will pick a composite resin color that matches your exact tooth shade. The resin is a putty textured, durable plastic material.

Next, we will prepare your tooth and apply a conditioning liquid ensuring the bonding sticks on the tooth. The tooth is now ready for resin.

We will then mold and shape the resin to best match your tooth and cover whatever issue. The resin is dried and hardened with a special light. If necessary, we may further sculpt the resin and polish it to ensure the material blends naturally with the rest of your teeth.

The dental bonding process should take between 30 and 60 minutes.

Being informed about your options when it comes to dental repair is essential. There are many solutions we offer to make sure you are getting the best care for your oral needs.

For patients who may have a minor dental imperfection such as a crack or stain, teeth bonding may be a good option.
